This auction has staggered ending times.
The first item will close at 1:00 pm (E.S.T) . Each item will close 1 minute after the previous. For example, Lot 1 closes at 1:00 am. Lot 2 closes at 1:01 pm. Lot 3 closes at 1:02 pm. This will continue until all items have closed. Also, note that extended bidding is still in place. Therefore, if Lot 1 goes into extended bidding Lot 2 will still close at 1:01 pm and Lot 3 will still close at 1:02 pm, etc. (unless they also go into extended bidding) while Lot 1 is still in extended bidding. This scenario applies to all lots. If you have any questions regarding extended bidding, please contact us.

Your bid is on one item times the number of items in the lot.
The bidding forms are at the right of the page
Once you have your bidders number and password you can sign in and begin bidding.

What is a Maximum Bid?
A Maximum Bid is the highest dollar amount you are willing to pay for an item. Here is an example of using the Maximum Bid feature: If you enter a Maximum bid the system will automatically bid on your behalf up to your Maximum bid amount. For example, let's assume that you enter a bid of $10 on an item and Maximum bid of $40. If no other bids are placed on that item you will be the winner at your $10 bid. If another bidder places a bid of $20 on the item you will now be winning at the $20 plus 1 increment level (for example $20 + $1 = $21).

If you are outbid while the auction is still active...
The system will automatically send you an email every time that you are outbid on an item.

May I raise my Maximum Bid?
Yes, but if you are the current high bidder, you will have to raise your bid by one bid increment.

What is Auto-extend time?
The Auto-extend time feature will leave the bidding open for any item that has received a bid within the last 5 minutes, even if the original ending time has been reached.

How do I receive a catalog "Hard Copy"?
The catalog can be printed by going to the next auction web page when you enter the on-line arena. The link to click on says "Printable Catalog" . We can also fax you one by calling 1-800-646-6486

Can I enter the auction site and look around without a bidders number and password? Yes jut click the enter the auction arena link and then click on the link that says "All Items"

Waiting till the last minute to bid:
There is no real benefit to waiting to the last minute to place a quick bid and be the last bidder. This bidding engine has an auto-extend feature we have developed in order to extend the bidding another few minutes automatically should someone bid right at the end. this will always give the last bidder another chance.

In my opinion the best way to bid:
Use the Maxbid feature as early as possible. This guarantees that you will have the final position you need at the end. if you wait and other people are bidding there is a good chance someone is thinking in the same range as you.
EXAMPLE: if you know you would pay 1.10 for a certain plant , make your bid at .50 but place a Maxbid at 1.10. if nobody else bids you still get it at .50. but if ten people start to bid at a certain time no one can take, that 1.10 position you would be happy with. if one other person bids .60 your next bid is automatically placed at 1 increment higher but never higher than you Maxbid.
NOTE: you can raise your Maxbid at any time.

How do I arrange removal and payment after the auction?
After the auction is overall success full buyers will be contacted via E-Mail. Payment arrangements will be made. Once payment is received and verified the Seller will be contacted and you can call the Seller so pick-up times can be arranged according to Lawyer Nursery harvest schedule.

Lawyer Nursery Auction Terms and Conditions
1. Customers must arrange for pickup or third-party shipment of their lots at their own expense. We can recommend carriers upon request, but arrangements must be made by the purchaser.
2. The location of each lot (Plains, MT or Olympia, WA) is identified on the auction site. Plant delivery is FOB from that plant location. The stock is ungraded and ready for bulk shipment.
3. The harvest season in Plains, MT runs from roughly mid-October until the end of November. In Olympia, WA the harvest season runs from mid-November until late February.
4. Greenhouse plug crops are all in Olympia, WA and must be shipped in their trays. Customers will have to arrange for rack shipment.
5. Greenhouse crops can be ready for shipment as early as late August. Total plug quantities for each greenhouse crop are conservatively estimated. We do not promise fully “patched” trays.
6. We plan to turn off our coolers by March 31, 2019. Customers must pick up or make shipping arrangements to take possession of their orders by that date.
7. Certain species do not hold up in cold storage as well as others. We will communicate with the purchaser to explain these circumstances.
8. We will keep crop in controlled cold storage until shipment, with the first two weeks (from the time of harvest) free of charge.
9. Customers will be notified when their purchased lot has been harvested and told the number of bins so that they can get shipping estimates.
10. After the first two weeks of free cold storage, customers will be charged $0.50 per day per bin for extended cold storage until the trees have been shipped.
11. Trees will be shipped in bins or crates that will keep the crop in good condition through storage and shipment.
12. Our typical bin is 4’x4’x2’, for a total shipping volume of 32 cubic feet. There will be a packaging charge of $20 for each bin that is used for shipment.
13. Some of our taller trees will not fit into bins, so they will be shipped in custom-made crates for a charge of $40 per crate.
14. Each auction lot sells for the winning bid unit price times the ESTIMATED number of trees. We take a conservative approach when estimating the number of trees in each lot.
15. We reserve the right to adjust the estimated number of trees in each lot up until the time that bids start to close. We may eliminate auction lots if we don’t think that the plants will meet our quality standards.
16. Customers may contact us about particular lots, and we will attempt to provide additional photos in a timely manner.
17. Customers who are considering large purchases can call to make arrangements to visit the nursery where the crops of interest are being grown.
18. We are investigating the possibility of bulk shipments to Canada and believe that it should be possible. Canadian customers should contact us to discuss export-related issues.
19. Every state and province has plant restrictions. We will make a list of known restrictions available, but customers should check with their local plant board to be sure that desired trees can be shipped to their location.
20. All charges must be paid in full before any crop can be released for shipment. There are no extended terms for this auction.
